who I am
I grew up in the Bay Area, California. I’m the daughter of a critical taste tester and my biggest cheerleader, both from Bihar, India. I went to school in LA, where I studied Human Biology & Society and Food Studies, and I’m currently working in the nutrition department of a supportive housing nonprofit before heading to med school in the fall. I throw the occasional dinner party from my 8-foot kitchen. I create recipes for Upbeet Anisha, the blog/Instagram/TikTok where I post my favorites (feel free to check them out if you have no idea what to make for dinner tonight). I enjoy documenting my creations through photos and videos, but I want to slow down and share more nuanced ideas that can’t be covered in a 30-second voiceover!
